Pohjoista voimaa (Northern Power)

In summer 2014, Oulun Energia and the Oulu Comics Society held a serial picture competition with the theme “Pohjoista Voimaa” (“Northern Power”) in honour of the 125th anniversary of Oulun Energia. Deemed equally strong, winners of the competition were young comics artists Anna-Kristiina Taivaloja, Aapo Kukko, and Jussi Pylkäs. The artwork is displayed in rotation during the dark winter months. During the Valoa Oulu! light festival, the work presented is that by Anna-Kristiina Taivaloja.
