Concept Description
As the number of LED lighting products on the market is increasing, design for the lighting of roads and pathways is changing. In some areas, the number of parameters that can be adjusted when planning optimum lighting installation is decreasing whereas in other areas it is increasing. This brings about a major change in the way that lighting projects are being planned. The difference is presented in an overview showing which parameters can be adjusted in a traditional installation compared with a modern LED installation (parameters that can be adjusted in both scenarios have not been included): In a traditional installation, the light source, the reflector position, wattage and in some cases even alternative optics can be selected, whereas in an LED installation the wattage and in some cases alternative optics can be selected.
