Indoor Lighting project of the Year 2013 in Finland Thanks to its vibrant lighting, P-Hämppi, an underground car park in the city of Tampere, is nothing like most ordinary, gloomy car parks. Driving into the car park immediately promises something better than the usual parking experience, and the visitor is not disappointed at the sight of a spacious, expansive hall bathed in colourful lights. With the help of energy efficient light sources and smart controls based on motion detectors, the energy consumption of the lighting can be minimised. The coloured lights that help visitors orient themselves, the adjustable lighting, and the illuminated wall and ceiling surfaces have created a safe and secure car park that lightens up the moods of its visitors.
