LUX HELSINKI 2013

Lux Helsinki is the biggest annual light art event in the Nordic Region presenting light and video installations in the heart of Helsinki. The rapidly growing festival introduces a wide array of light artworks from minimalist pieces to full-blown spectacles of light by internationally renowned designers and artists. Artistic director of the event is Mr Markku Uimonen, the Professor of Lighting Design at Theatre Academy Helsinki. The last edition held in January 2013, introduced 13 light art installations and video artworks which of many were commissioned works for Lux Helsinki. We are responsible for the technical planning and production of the event as well as taking part in the artistic content production along with the artistic director. Our designers Jukka Huitila (Variant Spectrum, 2012 and Variant Spectrum 2, 2013), Matti Jykylä (rubix xpress, 2012) and Jenni Kääriäinen (Sodium Sun, 2013) have contributed to the program with light installations.
