Concept Description
Our installation takes the viewer forwards on the back of a wave, on a journey below the earth. The lights pull the attention towards the dramatic shapes of the carved cliff until the waves of light take the viewer to the next “beach”. The lighting enhances the angular and hard language of form of the tunnel of Fredrikinkatu bridge. The contrast between the symmetrical concrete structure and the carved rock has been highlighted further with the varying lights and shadows. By enhancing the perspective, the installation also refers to the railway tracks that used to go through the area.
